I was born between two kinds of light, the grey-green of a Sámi winter (mom) and the salt-heavy dusk of an Irish coast (dad). I was born into diaspora. I am still learning where those roots go, what my people built, what they lost, what they are currently fighting for, and what I am carrying forward. I started this work because I want to live from a place that is actually mine, not inherited without choice, not borrowed from whomever was loudest. And I think that's why lineage sessions exist. You don't have to know your great-grandmother's name to feel the pull of where you come from. You just have to be willing to look. And when you do, something in your posture changes. You stop performing a version of yourself and start standing in the one that was always there.

I photograph intimate weddings, cultural and meaningful events, concerts, senior portraits, editorials, businesses, and lineage sessions. Oh, and photo journalism, I love it. I have been doing this photography thing a long time. It is the one thing in my life that I keep going back to. Learning, pushing boundaries, telling stories. Revolution through art. But what I'm actually doing is this: I am trying to photograph you as the light blesses you when you think no one's looking. The way your shoulders drop when you finally relax into the frame. The look you give someone across a crowded room that you don't know I saw. The quiet, unguarded second between one song and the next where you just are.

I am neurodivergent, intuitive, and I think that's why I can do this. I don't see a scene the way you'd expect. I see the texture of it. The silence underneath the noise. Patterns. I will know when you need a breath and when you're ready to go again, and I will let the session find its own rhythm. You'll leave feeling seen in a way that's hard to explain but impossible to forget, like someone finally paid attention to the part of you that usually waits in the back of the room.
